| We first visited Christ Church Cathedral, the smallest Cathedral in
England. It's still bigger than a lot of Episcopalian Cathedrals. |
| It has been built, partially torn down, rebuilt, added to, restored and
improved until you get dizzy looking at all of the styles. |
| But if you don't try to analyze it, just accept it as the result of
God's people finding ways to glorify Him, you find a beautiful, and
interesting place of worship. |
| Glass from various periods tells its stories. |
| In places, the coloring that was typical of medieval gothic has been
preserved. |
| Saint Frideswide is still venerated at her resting place. |
| A very grand staircase leads up ... |
| ... to the great hall of Christ Church College. |
As
everywhere, beautiful gardens set off the historic buildings. |
