In the center of Normandy is an area with steeper hills and deep valleys. The
farms and meadows on the hillsides are vaguely reminiscent of the Alps, so the
area has been called "La Suisse Normande" (Norman Switzerland.)
We drove through the Orne river valley and stopped at at
high lookout called la Roche d'Oêtre.
