Puget Sound, Sept. 2006 / Whidbey Island

Whidbey Island was our first excursion. We took the ferry to the south end, and drove to Deception Pass at the north end.

The narrow straits at the north end of Whidbey Island was difficult to find and more difficult to navigate due to the very strong current.
